First of Summer: Beach, Adulting, Family

3 things from this trip: (1) I am now convinced that I need to tone my body. HAHAHA. (3) Sobrang amazing when your friends’ family also treat you like family.

Ito na ata yung legit na dagat-trip namin ni Darel after ng honeymoon trip namin last year. Almost a year! Grabe. Well, nakapag-beach din naman sa Mindoro last January pero hindi naman kasi sya “dagat” as in “dagat-trip” all throughout. Wait. Did I just say “trip” too many times now? Hahaha. We found this place in Terrazas De Punta Fuego, in Nasugbu, Batangas through Airbnb. Whole house for about 11k+ pesos is not so bad, plus few minutes away lang sa beach area. In case you will ask, I think the maximum number of guests it can accommodate is about 15pax. Pwede na for large groups diba?

Pero, before I show you photos and tell more stories about our trip, let me start first by saying na grabeng preparation ang ginawa namin for this. And by that, yung pag grocery talaga yung ibig kong sabihin. Hahaha. We had a busy week last week so ang best day lang talaga for us to do the grocery was Sunday afternoon. Or actually, Sunday evening, kasi we had our Spark (our monthly young adults fellowship in church) and Darel was the speaker.

Nakakatawa lang yung on the spot kami nag-isip kung ano bang mga bibilhin namin. Tapos mga 8:30pm na kami naka-uwi ni Darel sa “small house” at wala pa kaming na-pack na anything for the trip. Haha. (Rafa calls our house “small house” at yung house nila Mama at Papa yung “big house” hahaha) We decided na dun na lang kami lahat matulog with ate Dane, Rielle, and Rafa. Pero dahil super excited ni Rafa to go to the beach, hindi sya natulog agad at nakipag-laro pa with Mama. Hay. Kids. Hahaha. The next day, he remembered the story at sya naman nagkwento kina Rielle at Ate Dane. “I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down.” Nag-sink in naman pala sa kanya yung story. Hahaha.

Surprisingly, ang bilis lang pala ng byahe. We left QC around 4:30am, and dumating kami dun ng mga 7:30am. It’s recommended na you use Cavitex pag medyo maliwanag na, pero if gabi kayo ba-byahe, it’s best na sa Tagaytay na lang kayo dumaan. Nung dumating kami, nag-iwan lang kami ng food sa house and then we went straight sa beach area. Super happy ni Rafa. Ni-remind pa pala nya ako to tell his mom and dad na dalhin yung excavator toy nya kasi gagamitin nya daw sa beach. Haha. But you know what’s the best part that morning? Yung picnic brunch namin c/o ate Dane! A lot of you saw it on my IG stories and was asking where to buy the pinic basket set. Uhm, sa UK daw guys eh. Hahaha. She said it was actually a gift from a friend.

Hindi pa naman holiday nung Monday so medyo konti pa yung tao. Waah. We are still learning in this area in our married life, so thank you, Lord! ♥

Finally dagat

4 adults and a toddler

We survived 24 hours with a toddler with us. Hahaha!

Mostly, si Darel yung nag-babantay kay Rafa. Haha. Hala. “I want to ride a boat!” daw. Hahaha. Last week pa excited si Rafa mag-beach eh. Nung isang beses na nag-visit kami sa Beccami’s house, ang una nyang sinabi samin was, “Let’s go to the beach together!”

Haha. Sabi ko kay Rafa, “C’mon, let’s go back na kasi I need to put ice sa feet ko. It’s super ouchy.” Can’t believe he is turning 4 next week!

I realized, adults na talaga kami.

Hahaha! Gumawa kami ng salsa that afternoon, nag-ihaw ng liempo for dinner, and even yung brunch namin the next day. Masaya rin pala yung trips like this. Yung kayo rin mag-luto ng own food nyo. Nakaka-pagod lang pero masaya. We even had smores nung gabi na, at na-enjoy rin ni Rafa. Haha. Natulog nga din sya on his own eh.

Dumating yung mom and dad ni Rafa at almost 12mn. Si Darel pa rin nag-open ng door for them. See, ang sipag talaga diba? Hahaha! The next day, si Rafa yung pinaka-nauna gumising at ayun, inisa-isa nya kami gisingin. Our good friends, Maui, Kye, and JM was also there na that morning, so yay! Ang dami na namin. Dagat ulit! Hahaha. It reminded me of the beach in Camaya Coast in Bataan. Technically malapit sya dahil may ferry naman from MOA. Less than 2 hours if I remember it right. So ayun, even Rafa enjoyed the beach.

Good morning

I am thankful for the gift of friends and family.

Haha! We know them kasi they used to go sa church namin sa QC. Ayun, tulog ulit, pagka-gising may snacks nanaman. Hahaha. I love how very accommodating they were to us and sobrang parang family na rin talaga. O diba. Haha. After nun, we decided to just have dinner somewhere (dahil fail yung dadaan sana sa factory outlet sa SLEX). Haha. Ramdam ko pa rin yung pagod. Or siguro kasi since last week pa full of people ang almost every day ko. It drains me pag ganun eh so kelangan ko magpahinga at lumayo muna sa tao. Hahaha! But naaah!

Stop-over 1

Stop-over 2

I decided to write what happened the past days dahil sabi ko nga, isang-araw gusto kong balikan lahat ‘to, hoping that I’ll be able to “connect” with my future self. Yung tipong matatawa pa rin ako pag naalala ko yung moment ko na napaso with Rafa sa beach, yung napaka-daming kelangan i-pack (all related sa food and cooking) kahit na overnight lang naman, or kahit yung simpleng bumisita kami sa mga seniors whom we appreciate and was able to learn something new from that experience. Alam nyo naisip ko nga, I hope I’ll be able to remember this kapag senior na rin ako. Haha. Both houses na pinuntahan namin kahapon, they said thank you for remembering to visit them. Kung iisipin, sobrang saglit lang talaga kami. Pero I guess, na-appreciate talaga nila na minsan mapuno naman ng tao yung bahay nila, may maka-kwentuhan, or just the fact na may naka-alala lang sa kanila. I can say na it was one of those trips na more than just the dagat experience itself, God made me realize things that I don’t usually give time to think about. ♥
